Santiago "little man" Iadipaolo

Hey everyone. Here is Santiago. He was born Sunday April 25th at 4:42am, 8 lbs 7oz. and 20 inches long. Santi and Sandra are doing well. Sofia loves being a big sister and wants to hold him all the time. I came home last night so I could take Sofia to school today (Tuesday). Sandra will be getting out of the hospital later today. Sandra pushed for about 45 minutes and Santi charged through into this world without having his mami go through a C-section again. The recovery is so much better after a natural birth and Sandra surprised herself in doing so. We love you all and will post new pics once I have the camera (Sorry these are the same pics on facebook, but they may be new to some)

Date Night

Vince and I got to go on probably our last "date" in a while since Santiago will be here in ~2 weeks. We went to see Tina Fey & Steve Carell's new movie "Date Night". I must say: it was pretty hilarious. Vince and I laughed really hard and quoted the movie on our way home. It's funny cuz we don't get out much and a few weeks ago we got to go to dinner and then last night to a movie. It's like we split our "dinner & a movie" night. ha ha ha. Anyway, the movie is great and we will probably get it when it comes out on DVD at Christmas or something. Here is the preview...

Sibling Class

Sofia attended Sibling class yesterday at Methodist Hospital. They talked about how important it is to help with the new baby in certain ways, like holding baby correctly, helping with diapers, letting baby sleep, etc. She had a great time and was so excited to be there. Below are some pics from our class. Here is Sofia with Papi's help diapering her baby doll that she got to take to class.

Sofia also got to make her handprints and when her little brother Santiago comes we will put his footprints underneath. She was very proud of it as you can tell by her smile.

We also got snacks at the end of the class and we got a tour of the "Wonder Center" where the new mommies and babies are. We got to see two rooms where Mami and Santiago will be in. She's going to be such a great big sister and thanks to all who have contributed to her "Big Sister" wardrobe. Methodist also gave her a pink tshirt (included in the $5 for the class) that says Big Sister on it and she was so excited to pack it in her bag for when we go to the hospital and she stays with Grandma & Grandpa. Less than 3 weeks until the due date :)

Basement Bath Wall, Oh yeah!!!

Here is the new and inproved Iadipaolo Basement Bathroom. Grandpa Paul came over yesterday and helped me put in a wall. No shower curtain around the toilet anymore. The basement bathroom is actually enclosed now. You can actually close the door and lock it. Wow what a concept. It is so cool. Now when we have all those Iadipaolo get togethers you and I have come to love (birthday parties, Super Bowl, Game Night.....) we now have an enclosed bathroom downstairs. It is so cool. The wall looks finished but it is actaully Green board to prevent against mold and mildew. I actually need to paint it still.
Sandra called me "the apprentice" as I watched Paul and helped him.
Thanks to Paul for the wall and the Abuelos for the shower. We are so lucky to have you all in our lives.

Squirrel in a Jar

This is our squirrel feeder that we got for Christmas from Tio Tom. This is the first time we've caught a squirrel inside the jar eating from the corn cob. Its been in the backyard for about 3 or 4 weeks. This is a Grey Squirrel. He didn't use the ladder however, he jumped up from the railroad tie onto the feeder.
Sofia and I took corn off one of the cobs and laid them around the house to lure the squirrels and once that was gone they would have to go inside the jar for more.
Sandra went out onto the porch as softly as an 8 month pregnant woman could to get the picture. Sofia followed behind her.
