Just clownin' around

Here are some pics from our trip to the circus last weekend. Ringling bros. was at the Civic Center and we had to take the kids. It was a great time. I was a little tired, having worked the night before, sleeping for an hour before going to the circus, but it was well worth it.

Sofia and I are a couple of clowns, so this picture is very fitting. You have to laugh and have a good time while you can. The kids are only this age for so long. There are so many more things I want to do as a family. A trip across country in an RV would be fun, a trip to Cooperstown to the Baseball hall of fame (when Santi is 8 years old or so), and definitely returning to Disney.
BTW, the top picture is Santi impersonating Liberace. If you dont know who that is, Look it up!

Warrior Dash 2011

Sandra and I traveled to Rockford last weekend to stay with friends Jeff and Nichole. More friends: Jeremy, Mikelle, Tom, Laura, and Jane joined us for the warrior dash. Its a crazy 5K filled with obstacles, fire and a mudpit. It was a lot of fun. We made it over all obstacles and finished the race in 39 minutes. We werent going for time, but more for style points as you can see in our outfits. It was fun and something we will always remember

Sofia is in Kindergarten oh my

Well, Its happened. Sofia is in all day Kindergarten at District 150. Northmoor is a great diverse school. I call it the United Nations. Sofia has so many different kids from many different cultural backgrounds. Its a lot different from St. Vincent preschool. Its nice and free, but our goal is to get to Dunlap school within the next 3 years or so. Sandra and Sofia have different spring breaks this year and its just a lot easier if they were in the same school district. Isnt she cute? Our little bundle of joy is growing up so fast.

Costa Rica "Pura Vida"

It has been a crazy few weeks. Sandra and I went to Costa Rica with 18 high school students. Got to see lots of cool stuff. Put a live chicken in a group of boys' room, saw a crocodile, did a zipline, kayak, whitewater rafting and much more. After we got back I (vince) started my new job as a CNA @ Liberty Village in Peoria. Sandra started school and Sofia started Kindergarten today. Santi is growing up so much. His new favorite word is "pasta" and "agua". He loves to eat. If you want to see gobs more of photos, check out facebook. Bye for now

Hot fun in the Summer time

We had a great time last weekend in Rockford at The Sammon's house. They rented a huge bouncy waterslide and we had a blast with Tom and Laura and The Coker's too. The pic top left is Sofia and Kiley in a few too many bubbles after the jets made them go out of control. It was a great time and a lot of great food too. An adult weekend in Rockford for the warrior dash in September will be a lot of fun up there. Can't wait

















We have had some good times this summer. These pics are of my brother Adam his 3 kids and of course my 2 kids. Its great to get the 5 cousins together and have a house full of craziness. My dad (Grandpa Sam) is in the pics on the left with all of us in it. My bro and his family are in town from Kentucky and will be here another week. Gotta love spending time with the Fam

Girls in Spain. Boys in P-town

As most of you know, Sandra and Sofia are in Spain. They left June 25th and will return July 10th. So it has been Santiago and myself "Home alone". I have my CNA class during the day, which Grandma and Grandpa, uncle frank and aunt Kathy, and Zach(former student of Sandra's) have watched Santi while I am at school 8-noon Mon-thurs.
I have been able to get work done at the house while Santi takes his naps and after he goes to bed at 8pm. Taking Santi to church has been fun. Its hard to keep the little guy still for an hour. He is walking all over the place and wants to be let go while at church. Cheerios and toys are used to keep him contained.

Friday night I was giving Santiago a bath before bed. Everything was good, he was playing in the water. All of the sudden , he made this face (like he was gonna do something bad) and yep he did: He pooped in the bathtub and it just filled the water. It was a chore trying to clean it up and prevent Santi from grabbing any of it.
I hope this wasn't too upsetting for you. Santi and I miss the girls a lot and can't wait for them to return and tell us all the adventures they had in Spain.
