House Projects

So, yesterday the plumbers came over to install our new shower in the basement and move some pipes for the washer/drier. Thanks to Jose & Nere for investing in the "resort" as they call our house since they stay so many weekends out of the month. We will definitely have to buy mints for their pillows now and maybe engraved bath robes :) My grandparents are the ones that sleep in the basement for now, but as my grandfather gets clumsier the downstairs suite will soon become where my parents stay so my grandfather doesn't risk tripping down the stairs. The project should all be finished today :) Thanks also to Grandpa Paul who will be helping us enclose the bathroom with a wall and door. It's going to look real nice for all of guests!
Not only did we upgrade the bathroom, but Vince had the GRANDEST idea to run out to Lowe's and purchase a pull-out faucet for our kitchen and have the guys install it for us since they were already there :) The previous faucet was leaking everywhere and one had to shut the water off a certain way so it wouldn't leak. A true pain in the rear. I have always wanted one of these nifty contraptions in my kitchen and have put it on my wish list even at the old house. It's so awesome, but I have an urge to constantly wash dishes now.. ha ha ha.

Baby Shower, birthday & more...

Hey Blog fans. Here is what's been going on at the Iadipaolo house. Above is Sofia, Vince, and Louie relaxing on the couch. Doesn't Louie look happy??
Below is Omar's birthday at the house on saturday. Thanks to Tom, the Iadipaolo's have a birthday hat (like the Olson's have) to pass around and have the different family members wear it on their birthday. Next birthday in the family is Nere in June then Jose then Me (vince) all in June.

Last but not least is the Baby shower we had at the house last weekend. Thanks to everyone that came and all the cool presents for Santi. We really appreciate everything you all do for us and love all the family and friends in our life. (doesn't Miriam look heavenly with the lamp light behind her head) Also, A note for future photos with Sandra and Miriam in them is that Miriam is a perfect fit to stand behind shorty Sandra :)

Can't you tell we love the Cubs outfit the Cokers' got Santi. He will be wearing it in September when we take him to his 1st Cubs game and Sofia's 3rd. Can't wait!!!
Less than 5 weeks until Santi makes his grand debut. Please pray all goes well with the little guy and Sandra and her blood pressure and all that. Thanks. Until next time...

Hairy situation

Yeah thats me Vince Diddy. So today I took sandra's bug down by Bradley to get her window fixed. The window came off the track and fell down into the door on monday. I dropped Sofia off at school this morning and headed to Stecher's automotive on Main st. next to Haddad's. I dropped it off had breakfast at Mickey D's and killed time at Dollar Tree. Around 10am I was walking back to see how the car was and walked past VIP barbershop the sign in the window said "Open come on in". I needed a haircut and though I might as well kill time and get a haircut while Sofia is at school and car is in the shop.
I walk in and in a back room watching TV on a couch pops out a black guy in his late 20's maybe 30. I ask if I could get a haircut he says " Oh fo sho" He looks directly at my hair. I wonder to myself should I ask him if he cuts "white people hair", no I don't want to offend him, I don't wanna get beat up. So we head back to where the actual barber area is and he starts on the back of my neck and trime back there and around my ears for like 15 minutes. I wish he would cut on top where its long and really needs it. He finally does a little. It was now 10:40. I had to get to Stecher's to get the car and go get Sofia from preschool at 11.
As he wraps up he says "Sorry I don't have any gel, I don't cut straight hair" Meaning he doesn't cut white people hair. I wish he had told me that before he started. Oh well, $15 for a lot of laughs. Mainly from Sandra. Its just hair it grows back. Right???

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Hello! Today is St. Patrick's day, but it is also our anniversary of when we started dating back in 2002. Unbelievable, I've had the greatest "boyfriend" all these years and I thank God for literally bringing us together on that crazy Minnesota trip. Happy Anniversary Sweets!!

Busy week with the bro...

As some of you know my oldest brother Alex was in town this past week and spent that week staying at our house down in the basement. It was nice to have him here. We went to the zoo with dad last weekend and drove back and forth to mom and Paul's in Chillicothe quit a bit. Yesterday all the aunts and uncles came over to the house and we had some snacks and played "31". It was fun to have everybody over. Poor Sandra got home from work exhausted and our house was full of loud Wamboldts. She is stressed with the big Snowball lock-in at the high school tonight. But she was happy when we went for pizza at Agatucci's last night after all the aunts and uncles left.
As for Alex:
He left today to see our other brother Adam in kentucky and his family before heading to New Jersey. He will be having a 30 day retreat to decide if he will join the Newark diocese to become a priest or if God is calling him be with Trisha, a girl he met in Texas. Keep him in your prayers.

One Random Act of Kindness

I got "emotional" today. Vince, Sofia, and I were at Dynasty Buffet having some chinese. I saw one of my past students eating with his mom (I had him last year as a sophomore, his name was "Paco"). He always says hi to me in the hallways and just a couple of weeks ago. He just realized that I was pregnant. It was something like this....

I´m walking into the commons area which I do everyday during that particular time and Paco sees me EVERYDAY and says hi.. Then, one day..

-¡Señora! (signals me to come to him)
-¿Sí?
-You´re pregnant!
-Why yes I am Paco, I have been since the start of school
-No way, I hadn´t noticed until today
(I look down at my giant belly)
-Really? You see me everyday!
-I know I guess I just didn´t notice your growing belly.
ha ha ha

Anyway, he´s great; very kind and a respectful young man. So, at the end of the meal at Dynasty we get our ticket and the manager comes over and says our bill has already been paid. She said, "you teacher right? Student and mother paid for you already, have a nice day". I started crying of course and it was so nice of them to do that and such a great surprise. Thanks Paco y tu mami!! I felt so special and it made my day.
