Proud Father

Today Sofia and I were getting Lunch ready. I decided we needed to finish the pickles and so I was taking a nice healthy swig of pickle Juice out of the jar. Sofia saw me and asked "What is that?" I told her its pickle juice and its sour, but good. She wanted to try some, so I gave her a drink and she loved it. I was such a proud father. She wanted more and more, but I told her we couldn't have too much. I'm not sure of the pickle juice affect on 3 year olds. I'm sure I'll be more proud of her when she scores her first goal in a soccer game or is Valedictorian, but for today February 19th 2009, we have pickle juice and that's fine with me. Life is full of Baby Steps.

Bedroom/Bird Sanctuary

We moved the bed in our room last night into the corner and added a Ficus tree behind it. I thought that was all, but I was sorely mistaken. Jane came over and her and Sandra went to Michael's to get the tree. They came back with the tree and 2 little birds and a birdhouse to put in the tree. Sorry I couldn't rotate the picture below, you'll just have to turn your head to see the birds. One is named Giovanni, we need a name for the girl bird. Any suggestions?

Grandpa's Birthday Feb. 12th

This was at my dad's birthday lunch at Bob Evan's. Grandpa Sam turned 63. I guess after you turn 60 you are required to eat at Bob Evan's cause thats where he wanted to go. The Bob-B-Que is pretty good.

Sofia's Birthday Feb 10th

Here are some pics from Feb.10th at Chuck E. Cheese on Sofia's actual birthday. Being the awesome dad I am, we went there and played some games. We ate lunch at home first. Its fun to eat the pizza there once in a while, but not needed. It saves money to just play the games.

I love her face on the horse. She is so into the game,She has her game face on.

Sofia's Birthday Party

Here are some pics from Sofia's birthday party on Saturday. The pictures above are when Dora made a "surprise" visit sunday night after Sandra unexpectedly had to run to the store and Dora happened to show up after Mami left. What a coincidence. Thank You to all that came, especially Tom for taking a lot of the pictures. All the presents were great, but we really appreciate all the family and friends that came. We apologize that we didn't get to spend much time with some of you, as we had a lot of people there and it was a crazy afternoon. We hope everyone had enough pizza and cake. Thanks Again

Last night- Mr. Eagle pageant

Last night was the Annual Mr. Eagle pageant, which consisted of a talent show and spirit wear competition. The funds that were collected as admission to the pageant will go the St. Jude's Children's Hospital and all this week the students will be doing a Penny Drive for their favorite candidate from each of the classes (at the pageant the judges decided from two representatives from each class). The guy that raises the most positive points (pennies are positve everything else is negative) wins the title.

One of my co-workers (Tom) and I were the hosts for the evening. We were sponsored by David's Bridal and Duckies Formal Wear. I got my hair done by an alum and borrowed beautiful jewelry from another student. Tom and I had the priviledge of having a gong on stage to gong students off, but did not use it for them. Instead, I actually gonged myself for the terrible joke I told and I hit the gong lightly. Tom decided that it wasn't loud enough and gonged me LOUDLY. The students loved it and the evening was much fun. Although, this morning I've had a killer headache and I don't know it's because I didn't get much sleep or my head is still ringing from the sound of the gong. Regardless, it was a great evening.
