Today is Ash Wednesday, The beginning of Lent. You might of noticed people around town today with a black smudge on their forehead and thought they forgot to shower this morning. I actually look forward to Lent because of the Fish Fry's. I think I only eat at Long John Silver's during Lent. Today also was the Cubs first spring training game. They beat the Dodgers 5-3. The temp. reaching 60 today coupled with baseball is just a beautiful thing. The only thing that gets me through a rough midwest winter is the crack of the bat and the green grass at the ballpark.

Lent and Baseball...
